In the last newsletter the P&C shared information about the Containers for Change program. To help the school raise money all you need to do is bag up acceptable items (see below) and take them to a refund point. You will need to label the bag with the school’s scheme ID:
C10339291
The proceeds from your containers will be deposited into the school P&C account. We are currently investigating the feasibility of having our own container deposit bin on the school site.
So what is eligible? Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a refund.
Here’s a way to remember which ones you can return:
Aluminium is a win.
Glass and plastic are always in.
Steel and paper are good to go.
But milk and wine bottles are a no.

We are still collecting milk bottle tops, Nespresso pods, ring pulls, bread tags, old pens, pencils and textas, Colgate oral care products, PET bottles and batteries. These can be taken to your child’s classroom and they will be sent to the class that is collecting them. The last day to bring in these items will be Friday 4 December.
