Our School

City Beach Primary School is a vibrant, dynamic and inclusive community of learners, steeped in cultural diversity. Established in 1956, we have a rich history and traditions that span over almost 70 years. Our community serves approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and their families.

Our staff are passionate, experienced, and collaborative. We work as a team to continually reflect, grow, and improve. We ask ourselves: How are we going? How do we know? Is it good enough? What can we do better? This mindset drives our commitment to creating:

A connected culture of learning, excellence, and success—where everyone belongs and can thrive.

The school population is an inclusive multicultural blend with a number of families making City Beach their school of choice both in and around our catchment area. City Beach Primary School shares it’s campus with the Japanese School in Perth (JSP); the two schools take advantage of the great shared facilities and a unique opportunity for cultural exchange.

Expansive open spaces, two ovals, basketball, netball and tennis courts, nature play areas and playgrounds. Other facilities include: a purpose built Library; Early Childhood Centre; Undercover Assembly Area; an Arts Centre; and these areas together with contemporary classroom spaces collectively create a vibrant learning environment which promotes a love of learning. Each year the school sources a wide range of before and after school to offer to all students’ activities that promote the arts and healthy and active lifestyles.

The school provides specialist programs across all year levels in Visual Arts, Physical Education & Health, Performing Arts, STEaM and a Japanese Language Studies program for students in Years 3-6. Selected students in Years 5 and 6, access to tuition from a clarinet and trumpet specialist teacher via the Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS).

All that City Beach strives to achieve is supported by a committed and involved community who make many highly valued contributions to the school, its staff and students through the Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association and School Board.

Our motto Achieving Together with Pride and our three core values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience are integral to all that we do.
