“Children learn respect not from what we say, but from what they see us do each day.”
Thank you to our families for helping your children begin the school year in such a calm and organised way. It has been great to see students demonstrating Respect in Action across classrooms and play spaces—showing consideration for others, engaging positively with staff, and settling confidently into school routines. Your support at home makes a real difference, and it is appreciated.
This year we welcomed Tyson Burns to our team. Tyson joins us each Tuesday as our Physical Education Specialist, and it’s great to have his energy and passion for sport contributing to our physical education at City Beach Primary School.
We are lucky to have a school community where families contribute in so many different ways. Whether serving in formal roles through the P&C or the School Board, volunteering on excursions, before school swimming, supporting classroom activities, sharing professional expertise, helping with projects like demolishing Kindy cubbies, welcoming new families, becoming P&C class representatives, or assisting at the many events held across the school year—our parents play a vital role in the life of CBPS. We are grateful for the ongoing commitment of our families and for the vibrant, actively involved community this creates.
Thank you to the parents who have nominated for the parent representative roles on the CBPS School Board this year. We thank Vikrant Chaudhary and Nathan Wilks for their willingness to step forward, and know that their experience, perspectives, and connection to the school will be an asset to our ongoing planning and decision‑making. We look forward to their contributions as we continue shaping the future direction of CBPS—a culture of learning, excellence and success where everyone belongs and can thrive. We have an additional parent representative position available on the Board. If you are interested in contributing to the strategic direction of CBPS, please feel free to email me.
As we settle into the term, we appreciate the strong partnership between home and school that underpins so much of what we do at CBPS. Your engagement, encouragement, and support help create the conditions for every child to learn and feel that they belong. I look forward to a positive term ahead and to continuing this work together as our school community learns and thrives – together.
Be Safe, Kind and Fair
